Linear regulation keeps ripple and noise low during continuous operation at the full 150 watts. An intelligent temperature-controlled fan manages internal heat while a voltage compensation function maintains the stated 1mV and 0.1mA resolution over long runs.

Installation and pitfalls

The unit measures 7.3 by 11.6 by 4.1 inches and weighs 10 pounds so it sits securely on a bench. Output connects through a barrel connector on the front panel; the rear panel on this model lacks the RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces found on the MPS-100C variant. Users needing automated remote control must choose the communication-equipped version instead.
