128GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM Kit

This 128GB kit contains four 32GB DDR5 4800 registered ECC RDIMMs built for the Supermicro H14SSL-N motherboard. Each module runs at 1.1V with CL40 timing and a 2Rx8 organisation. The registered design lets the memory controller drive all four slots at the rated speed without signal degradation.

DDR5 4800 Registered Limits

DDR5 4800 sets the maximum transfer rate at 4800 MT/s and the registered buffer adds one cycle of latency to every command. The motherboard's memory population rules decide which slots must be filled first and whether mixing ranks is allowed. Exceeding the board's qualified capacity or population order will prevent the system from posting at the rated frequency.

Installing Four RDIMMs

Align the 288-pin edge connector with the keyed slot and press down evenly until both retention clips lock. The registered buffer makes the modules slightly taller than unbuffered DIMMs so verify CPU cooler clearance before seating all four. A common issue is populating slots in the wrong order; follow the H14SSL-N manual's population sequence exactly or the system will not recognise the full 128GB.
