Active power draw is 3.50 W during reads and 4.30 W during writes, dropping to 0.05 W at idle. Heavy sustained writes will eventually saturate the SATA link and the drive's write cache.

SATA 6Gb/s interface limits throughput

The drive connects via the mini-SATA interface running at the SATA 600 standard, capping maximum throughput at 600 MB/s. Real-world speeds sit near 540 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write, so the interface ceiling is rarely a bottleneck for typical file transfers. The mSATA connector is physically distinct from M.2 and requires a dedicated slot. Compatibility depends on the host providing a native mSATA socket.
