It works in x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots and supports Windows from XP through Windows 10 and Server 2019. The card uses a NEC+VIA chipset and draws power directly from the slot without an extra cable.

Every port can reach up to 5 Gbps, but the total bandwidth is shared across the eight ports. This handles multiple external drives, cameras or peripherals simultaneously, though sustained transfers on several ports at once will divide the available throughput.
