This 512GB kit contains eight 64GB DDR5 4800 EC8 RDIMM modules built for Dell PowerEdge 16th generation rack and tower servers. It targets IT teams expanding memory capacity on supported platforms such as the R760, R760xa, R760xd2, R760xs, R7615, R7625, R860, R960, T560, R660, R660xs, R6615 and R6625. The modules are ECC registered and not intended for desktop or laptop systems.
Modules install into standard 288-pin DDR5 slots on the server motherboard. Follow the system manual for correct channel population order and seating pressure. Common issues include mixing registered DIMMs with unbuffered memory, ignoring per-channel rank limits, or leaving a module partially seated which causes boot failures. Speeds may be mixed but the system will run at the slowest installed module.
