The Dogfish Technology THREE COLOUR mSATA 1TB internal SSD fits the mSATA form factor and connects through a SATA III interface. It provides one terabyte of capacity using 3D NAND flash and an SMI controller. The drive targets users who need to upgrade older laptops or small-form-factor desktops that only accept mSATA modules.
Built-in data-protection features
On-board ECC, bad-block management and an averaging algorithm correct errors and spread wear across the 3D NAND cells. Support for DevSleep, SMART, TRIM and NCQ commands lets the host system reduce power draw and maintain consistent performance over time. These firmware functions operate without extra software installation.
Limited by the SATA III interface
The SATA III link caps sequential throughput at 6 Gb/s, so the drive reaches up to 580 MBps read and 530 MBps write. It cannot exceed the bandwidth of the SATA bus, unlike PCIe-based alternatives. Operating temperature ranges from 0 °C to 75 °C, and storage temperature spans -45 °C to 85 °C.
