The Archer A8 is a Wi-Fi 5 wireless router delivering up to 1.9 Gbps combined throughput across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It targets households that stream 4K or HD video and play online games on multiple devices simultaneously. Three spatial streams and MU-MIMO let the router serve several clients at once instead of queuing them. Smart Connect steers each device to the clearer band automatically.

Build integration and connectivity

The unit provides one Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports for wired links to PCs, smart TVs or consoles; no USB port is present. It requires a cable or DSL modem and an active ISP subscription for internet access. Management is done through any modern JavaScript-enabled browser.
