Dell OptiPlex DDR3 upgrade

This 16 GB kit contains two 8 GB unbuffered DIMMs built for Dell OptiPlex 9020, 9010, 7020, 7010, 3020, 3010 and XE2 systems in USFF, SFF, MT and DT chassis. It is not compatible with All-in-One or Micro form factors. Buyers who need ECC registered memory or a different DDR generation cannot use this kit.

Installation and compatibility

Each module uses the standard 240 pin DDR3 interface and runs at 1600 MHz with CL11 latency. The dual rank 2Rx8 organisation works with the listed OptiPlex platforms without BIOS changes. Systems that require registered DIMMs or laptop SO DIMM modules will not accept these sticks.

Thermals and power

Modules operate at the JEDEC standard 1.5 V for DDR3 or 1.35 V for DDR3L and have no heat spreader. Power draw stays within normal DDR3 limits for desktop workloads. Noise is not a factor because the memory is completely passive.
