The KingSpec XF-512-2280 is a 512GB M.2 2280 internal SSD that uses the PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface and NVMe protocol. It is built with 3D NAND TLC flash and targets gamers, creatives and video editors who need fast storage for heavy workloads. The drive also works with the PS5 console.

This model replaces a SATA SSD and delivers up to 10 times the sequential speed of KingSpec's own SATA drives. Sequential read reaches 4800 MBps and write reaches 2700 MBps, so the jump is worthwhile when loading large game assets, editing high-resolution footage or moving big datasets. Endurance is rated at 600TB written and MTBF at 1000000 hours.

Build integration

The single-sided 2.10mm height fits slim laptops, ultrabooks and desktops with an M.2 slot keyed for PCIe 4.0 x4. No heatsink is included, but the design is compatible with add-on heatsinks for the PS5 or motherboard shields.
