Four-Port USB 3.2 Hub for Raspberry Pi

The LORDWORLD HAT adds four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports to a Raspberry Pi 4 or compatible board. An onboard USB-C 5 V input supplies extra current for bus-powered peripherals. Status LEDs show power and individual port activity. The board works driver-free on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.

Upgrade from the Pi's native USB ports

The Pi 4 provides only two USB 3.0 ports, so this HAT doubles high-speed connectivity without occupying the PCIe lane. It is worth fitting when you need simultaneous SSD, camera and sensor links that would otherwise saturate the built-in ports. Builds staying within the two native ports gain nothing.

Limited by the USB 3.2 Gen1 uplink

All four downstream ports share the single upstream Gen1 link, so aggregate throughput cannot exceed 5 Gb/s. Heavy concurrent transfers will contend for that bandwidth. The USB-C power input only feeds the hub; it does not back-power the Pi itself.

Spurningar um þessa vöru

What Raspberry Pi models does the HAT's 40-pin header fit?

It is purpose-made for the Raspberry Pi 4 and also compatible with other Pi versions that share the same 40-pin GPIO header layout.

Does the board need a driver or an external USB-C 5 V supply to work?

No driver is needed — it is plug-and-play on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android — but the onboard USB-C 5 V DC port should be connected for stable power when using high-draw USB 3.2 Gen1 devices.

How can I tell if the hub is receiving power and each port is active?

The HAT provides one power indicator LED and four individual USB port indicator LEDs so you can verify the board is powered and see which ports have an active connection.
