It provides a robust anodised top and bottom shell to protect the board during daily operation as a media server, Home Assistant hub or desktop computer. Fixings are included to mount an NVMe Base or NVMe Base Duo inside the case.

Storage expansion and thermal headroom

The case accommodates an NVMe Base or NVMe Base Duo, giving the Pi 5 access to high-speed solid-state storage. Generous air vents keep the drive well ventilated while an internal cut-out accepts the official Active Cooler for sustained CPU performance.
