What comes in the box and do I need to buy any cables or batteries separately?

The UPS ships with the WEBCARDLX network card already installed, a USB cable, a DB9 serial cable, mounting brackets for two- and four-post racks and the internal VRLA battery. No extra battery or cables are required for basic operation.

Should I choose a different VA or wattage model for my load?

This unit delivers 1000 VA and 800 watts at a 0.8 power factor; select it when your connected equipment draws up to 800 watts. A lower-wattage model would not support that load, while a higher-wattage model adds capacity you do not need.

What does the 4-minute runtime at full load mean for my servers?

At the full 800-watt load the battery lasts 4 minutes, enough for an orderly shutdown. At a typical half load of 400 watts the runtime extends to 14 minutes, giving more time for automated scripts to complete.
