Compact All-in-One IoT Board
The SMUGDESK RP2040-Touch-LCD-1.28 combines a dual-core RP2040 microcontroller, a 1.28-inch circular IPS touch display and a 6-axis IMU on a single PCB. It targets makers building wearable devices, smart watches, motion detectors or DIY embedded projects that need graphics and sensing together.
Integrated Display and Motion Sensors
The 240×240 round panel delivers 65K RGB colour with wide viewing angles and supports capacitive touch for gestures and menu navigation. An onboard accelerometer and gyroscope capture tilt, vibration, rotation and posture data for pedometers, balance robots or game controllers. Reserved GPIO pins allow peripheral expansion without soldering directly to the main chip.
RP2040 Platform Constraints
The dual-core ARM Cortex-M0+ runs at up to 133 MHz and relies on internal flash and SRAM, so storage and memory are fixed by the silicon. Development uses MicroPython or C/C++ with open-source demos, but the board lacks wireless radios, so any networking needs external modules. The small round screen limits text density and complex UI layouts compared to larger rectangular displays.

Klausimai apie šią prekę
What display interface does the 1.28 inch 240×240 panel use and what colour depth does it cap at?
The circular IPS touch LCD connects directly to the RP2040 and renders 65K RGB colours at its native 240×240 resolution.
What physical mounting features does the board provide for a wearable or enclosure design?
The compact integrated PCB includes reserved GPIO breakout pins around the edge for soldering headers or wires into a custom case or strap.
How is the board programmed and which step do beginners often miss?
Connect via USB, hold the BOOTSEL button while plugging in to enter mass-storage mode, then drag the MicroPython or C/C++ firmware UF2 file onto the drive.
