Two 40 mm sleeve-bearing fans provide active cooling for the installed drives. The unit supports drive thicknesses from 5 mm to 15 mm.

This backplane suits builders who want removable 2.5in drives in a standard 5.25in slot with hardware RAID or software arrays. The 50,000-plus insertion rating and metal housing support frequent swaps for backup or drive-sharing workflows.
