OWC 16GB DDR3L ECC RDIMM Kit

This OWC kit supplies 16GB of DDR3L ECC registered memory in a matched pair of 8GB modules. It is built for workstations and servers that require 240-pin DDR3L RDIMMs with error correction. Standard desktop boards cannot use this memory, and it must not be mixed with unbuffered DIMMs.

240-Pin Registered Design and 1.35V Operation

Each module uses a 240-pin RDIMM form factor with a registered buffer that reduces electrical load on the memory controller. The DDR3L rating allows operation at 1.35V, lowering power draw compared to standard DDR3. No heat spreader is fitted, so airflow in the chassis handles cooling directly.
