This 128GB kit contains eight 16GB DDR5-4800 EC8 registered modules built for Dell PowerEdge T560, R660, R660xs, R6615, R6625, R760, R760xa, R760xd2, R760xs, R7615, R7625, R860 and R960 servers. It targets administrators who need ECC registered memory for 16th generation rack and tower platforms.
Each module runs at 1.1V with CL40 latency and a 1Rx8 organisation, providing error correction and signal buffering required by the listed PowerEdge systems. The registered architecture reduces electrical load on the memory controller, while the single rank x8 configuration helps maintain signal integrity across all eight slots.
Modules install directly into the 288 pin DIMM sockets on the supported platforms; the server BIOS will configure speed and timing automatically. Mixing with slower DDR5 modules forces the entire array to run at the lowest common speed, so matching kits is recommended. This memory is not compatible with desktop or laptop platforms that require non ECC unbuffered DIMMs.
