This 64GB kit contains two 32GB registered DDR4 modules rated at 2400MHz with CL17 latency. It is built for Dell PowerEdge 13th generation rack servers including the R430, R530, R630, R630 XL, R730, R730 XL, R730xd, R730xd XL, R830 and R930. The modules use a 288-pin form factor and operate at 1.20V.
Administrators upgrading compatible 13th generation Dell PowerEdge rack servers will find the correct ECC registered specification here. Buyers needing memory for desktop PCs, laptops or workstations that only accept non-ECC unbuffered DIMMs cannot use this kit. Systems requiring load-reduced ECC modules must not mix them with these registered DIMMs.
The 64GB total capacity is delivered as a matched pair of 32GB dual-rank x4 modules running at PC4-19200 speed. It comfortably handles virtualisation workloads and large database buffers supported by these servers. Installing modules of different speeds will force the system to run at the slowest installed speed, limiting total bandwidth.
