The Biostar TB250-BTC is an ATX motherboard built around the Intel B250 chipset for LGA 1151 processors. It accepts Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron CPUs up to the 7th generation. The layout provides one full-length PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot plus five PCI Express 3.0 x1 slots, giving twelve total expansion connections for mining-focused builds.

Two DDR4 slots and six SATA ports

Memory support covers DDR4 2400, 2133 and 1866 speeds across two 288-pin slots, with 2400 MT/s available only on 7th generation CPUs. Six SATA 6Gb/s ports and a single M.2 Key M connector for 2242, 2260 or 2280 drives handle storage. The board does not support 8th generation Intel processors, limiting upgrade headroom.

Basic rear I/O and BIOS tweak for mining

Rear connectivity includes two PS/2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, four USB 3.0 ports and a DVI-D output up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz. Realtek ALC887 provides eight-channel audio and Realtek RTL8111H delivers 1 Gbps Ethernet. The BIOS allows switching the x1 slots to PCIe 1.0 mode to improve stability when all twelve slots are populated.
