The GP-AG4500G is an internal solid state drive built for consumer PCs that need fast storage in the M.2 2280 form factor. It uses the PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface with NVMe 1.3 to deliver high throughput for games, applications and large file transfers. The 500GB capacity fits operating systems and active project files in a single drive.
The drive employs 96-layer 3D TLC flash managed by a Phison PS5016-E16 controller fabricated on a 28nm process with eight channels and 32 CE targets. An onboard 512MB DDR4 cache and a pre-fitted heatsink help sustain performance during heavy workloads while keeping operating temperatures within the 0°C to 70°C range. TRIM, S.M.A.R.T., wear levelling and over-provisioning are supported for long-term reliability.
These peak speeds define whether the GP-AG4500G matches the performance target of a PCIe 4.0 platform. Random read reaches 400000 IOPS and random write 550000 IOPS for responsive multitasking. Active power draw is rated at 5.9W read and 4.5W write, dropping to 13.21 mW at idle.
