The HPE MSA 2070 is a 2U small form factor SAN storage system designed for shared storage workloads. It ships with twelve 3.84 TB SAS SSDs providing 46.08 TB of raw capacity. Dual 16 Gb Fibre Channel 4-port controllers deliver host connectivity. The platform supports Windows Server, VMware vSphere, Red Hat Linux and SUSE SLES.
Confirm that your servers have available 16 Gb or 32 Gb Fibre Channel host bus adapters and matching cabling. Ensure the rack can accommodate a 2U enclosure with two redundant 580 W power supplies and suitable cooling. Check that the operating environment matches the certified OS list before deployment.
The base array accepts up to twelve additional SFF drives internally. External expansion supports 2U 24-drive SFF enclosures or 2U 12-drive LFF enclosures, with up to nine enclosures daisy-chained for a maximum raw capacity of 2.73 PB. Four 16 Gb Fibre Channel SFP+ transceivers are included for immediate controller uplinks.
