The Nexcom nROK 1030 is a compact, fanless embedded computer built for vehicle and railway deployments. It runs on an Intel Atom x6211E dual-core processor with a 6 W TDP and ships with 4 GB of DDR4 memory in a single SO-DIMM slot. The rugged enclosure supports 5G NR, Wi-Fi 6 and GNSS for mobile connectivity.
Sustained low-power operation
With a 6 W thermal design power and no moving parts, the system maintains its 1.3 GHz base frequency continuously without throttling. The 3 GHz burst capability handles short spikes, while the fanless chassis dissipates heat passively across the full operating temperature range required for rolling stock certification.
Expands from legacy vehicle gateways
The platform replaces older in-vehicle PCs that lack 2.5 GbE M12 X-coded LAN, dual display outputs or integrated CAN bus 2.0B with optional SAE J1939 support. The jump is worthwhile when a project needs ignition-controlled power management, dual micro-SIM slots and Mini-PCIe plus M.2 expansion in a certified railway form factor.
