It uses 176L TLC 3D NAND and a PCI-Express 5.0 x4 interface to deliver up to 14500 MBps sequential read and 9300 MBps sequential write throughput. The drive is rated for 3 DWPD endurance with 70 PBW total bytes written and carries FIPS security certification.
Replacing a PCIe 4.0 enterprise SSD with this model doubles the interface bandwidth and raises random read performance to 2750000 IOPS while random write reaches 800000 IOPS. The jump is worth it when workloads saturate the older link or when a single 12.8TB device can consolidate multiple smaller drives to reduce slot count and simplify storage management.
At 3 DWPD the drive comfortably handles sustained mixed read-write workloads such as database logging, content delivery caches and virtualisation volumes across its five-year design life.
