The single 240-pin stick operates at the standard 1.5V DDR3 voltage with CL11 latency.
Running at the standard 1.5V DDR3 voltage, the module draws typical power for an 8GB registered DIMM at 1600MHz. Registered buffering adds a small electrical load compared to unbuffered memory, but heat output remains within normal limits for passively cooled server DIMMs. No active cooling or special airflow is required beyond standard chassis ventilation.
The package contains only the memory module itself; no cables, brackets, drivers or management utilities are included. Installation is a physical DIMM swap that relies on the system BIOS to detect and configure the ECC registered timings automatically. The practical change is the added 8GB of error-correcting capacity for the target platform.
