Standalone Multimedia Duplicator

The Acumen Disc AD08-MMBD is a standalone multimedia duplicator that copies flash media and optical discs to recordable media without a host computer. It accepts USB flash drives, CompactFlash, Secure Digital and Memory Stick cards through dedicated slots, plus a built-in reader for CD, DVD or Blu-ray source discs. Eight internal writers then burn identical copies to blank CD-R, DVD or BD media at up to 52X, 24X or 16X respectively.

Build Integration and Connectivity

The unit operates entirely offline, so it needs only a power connection and physical access to load source media and blank discs. A 20 x 2 character LCD and multilingual menu system in English, Spanish, French and Japanese guide the operator through copy, compare and disc-spanning tasks. No software installation or host interface is required, freeing workstation resources and eliminating network bottlenecks during large batch runs.

Sustained Copy Behaviour

Data moves from source to writers at a steady 33 MB/s transfer rate, and the duplicator maintains this throughput across all eight targets without thermal throttling in typical office environments. Disc spanning automatically splits oversized flash-media jobs across multiple discs, while multi-session mode consolidates several cards onto a single disc, keeping each session closed and readable on standard drives. The mechanism is rated for continuous operation with a one-year parts-and-labour warranty and lifetime technical support.
