Buffalo Technology
Eight-bay desktop NAS with 64 TB of pre-configured RAID storage, a 2.04 GHz quad-core processor, 8 GB DDR4 memory, native 10GbE and dual 1GbE ports
Included HDD Capacity 64TB (4 x 16TB)
Option Partially Populated
The Buffalo TeraStation 5820 ships with four 16 TB NAS-grade drives pre-installed and RAID-configured, delivering 64 TB of protected capacity out of the box. An Annapurna Labs AL524 quad-core processor at 2.04 GHz and 8 GB of DDR4 memory handle file serving, virtualization and backup workloads for businesses that need immediate storage without drive sourcing or array setup.
The unit operates from a 100-240 VAC supply and consumes up to 112 W under typical load while staying within a 0-40 °C ambient range. Front-panel LEDs show power, drive and 10/100 LAN status so administrators can verify health at a glance without opening the chassis.
A single 10GbE RJ-45 port and two 1GbE ports provide high-speed LAN connectivity without adapter cards, while two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports allow direct attachment of external backup targets or UPS signalling. The bundle includes a quick setup guide, AC cable, front-panel key and warranty statement for first-day deployment.

The four 16TB drives ship pre-installed in the 8-bay chassis with RAID pre-configured; the step often missed is inserting the front-panel key to lock the drive trays before powering on.
The OP-HD16.0N drives are the only compatible spares; plan to replace any drive that SMART reports as failing and rebuild the RAID 5, 6 or 10 array using a matching 16TB unit.
The 112W power envelope and 0–40°C operating range constrain sustained write throughput before the AL524 quad-core or 8GB DDR4 memory become bottlenecks.
