At default SPD settings the kit runs at standard DDR4 speeds; enabling the Intel XMP 2.0 profile is required to reach the advertised 4000 MT/s with 18-22-22-42 timings. DDR4 4000 (PC4 32000) operates near the top of the DDR4 frequency range, so the memory controller quality in the processor becomes the limiting factor.
