Four-port U.2 NVMe RAID controller
The SSD7120 is a PCIe 3.0 x16 add-in card that connects up to four off-the-shelf U.2 NVMe SSDs, each with its own dedicated PCIe 3.0 x4 lane. It supports RAID 0, 1, 10 and JBOD for performance or redundancy. Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2 or later, Linux kernel 3.10 or later and macOS 10.13 or later are supported. The card suits rendering systems, high-end desktops and workstations needing fast local storage.
Straightforward slot installation
The half-height card fits a standard PCIe x16 slot and includes a low-profile bracket for compact chassis. Four SFF-8643 internal connectors require compatible U.2 cables or enclosures, which are sold separately. Each port receives dedicated bandwidth, so no lane-sharing configuration is needed. Installers should verify cable lengths and airflow clearance before closing the chassis.
Four drives with dedicated x4 bandwidth per port
Each U.2 port delivers a full PCIe 3.0 x4 link, giving every attached NVMe SSD up to 32 Gbps of headroom. The x16 host interface aggregates all four lanes without bottleneck. RAID 0 scales throughput across drives, while RAID 1 and 10 add mirror protection. JBOD presents each SSD individually. The controller does not support M.2 or SATA devices, and it cannot accommodate more than four U.2 drives.

Spørsmål om denne varen
How do I verify the SSD7120 is giving each U.2 NVMe SSD its dedicated PCIe 3.0 x4 bandwidth after setup?
Check the HighPoint WebGUI or CLI; each port should show a PCIe 3.0 x4 link width and the RAID array should report combined throughput approaching 32 Gb/s per drive.
What comes in the box and which cables or enclosures must be purchased separately?
The package includes the SSD7120 controller, a quick installation guide and a low-profile bracket; certified cables 8643-8639-50, 8643-8643-0350, 8643-8643-060 and enclosure OLX4-8643-061 are sold separately.
Which RAID mode should I choose on the SSD7120 for maximum speed versus data protection?
RAID 0 stripes across up to four U.2 NVMe SSDs for peak performance; RAID 1 or RAID 10 mirrors data for redundancy while still using the dedicated PCIe 3.0 x4 lanes per drive.
