The LORDWORLD 4.2inch E-Ink Display Module is a development board with a 400x300 resolution screen. It connects via SPI and includes an onboard voltage translator for 3.3V and 5V logic compatibility. The board targets makers and engineers building low-power IoT edge devices with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Nucleo or Jetson Nano platforms. Development resources and manuals are supplied for these controller boards.
The e-paper technology draws power only during a refresh cycle, making it ultra-low consumption for battery-operated projects. With no backlight, the display retains the last shown content indefinitely even when power is completely removed. This behaviour suits applications requiring persistent readouts without continuous energy draw. The SPI interface keeps wiring simple for supported microcontrollers.
Under sustained load the module excels at showing static information for extended periods without active power. Refresh cycles remain the only moments of measurable current draw, so thermal output and noise stay negligible. The board is not designed for video-rate updates or animations, limiting its use to slow-changing data such as sensor logs, price tags or status panels. Buyers needing high frame rates or colour output should consider alternative display technologies.
