The myVolts LD-A450WL plugs straight into a motherboard ATX24Pin connector and removes the usual 24-wire harness, delivering 450 W from a 12 V input. It fits compact ATX boards where a standard PSU would not sit, and the PCB construction keeps the profile low for tight cases.
Swapping a conventional power supply for this adapter is worthwhile when chassis space is the limiting factor and the system draws no more than the rated rails. It is not suited to builds that need additional PCIe power connectors beyond the single 2+6pin, or that require multiple CPU power headers beyond the one 4+4Pin provided.
The unit supplies +12 V at 30 A, +5 V at 10 A, +3.3 V at 10 A, +5 VSB at 2 A and -12 V at 0.05 A, with short-circuit and over-current shutdown on the main rails. Headroom ends when combined load approaches 450 W or when more than two SATA devices, one graphics card and one CPU connector are needed simultaneously.

The board plugs straight into a 24-pin ATX socket and includes a 340 mm CPU 4+4-pin cable, a 340 mm graphics 2+6-pin cable, two SATA cables at 390 mm and 190 mm, plus two DC5525 leads at 320 mm.
Seat the adapter board firmly into the motherboard ATX24Pin header, then connect the CPU, GPU and SATA cables; the step often missed is ensuring the 4+4-pin CPU plug is fully latched before powering on.
Over-current and short-circuit protection on the +3.3 V, +5 V, +5 VSB and +12 V rails shut the output off when limits are reached; if a rail trips repeatedly, the adapter board itself must be replaced.
