Dell Precision 7960 memory kit

This 96GB kit contains six 16GB DDR5 modules built for the Dell Precision 7960 rack or tower workstation. The registered ECC design provides error correction and signal integrity required by the platform. It is not for systems that accept only unbuffered memory or a different DDR generation.

96GB capacity and DDR5 4800 speed

Six ranks of 1Rx8 chips deliver 96GB total capacity at 4800 MT/s with CL40 latency. The kit handles large datasets and multi-VM workloads that fit within this limit. Workloads needing more than 96GB or speeds above PC5-38400 will exceed what this kit provides.

DDR5 RDIMM interface limits

The 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM form factor fits only slots wired for registered DDR5. The 1.1V operating voltage and CL40 timing are fixed by the module SPD. Platforms requiring unbuffered DIMMs, lower latency bins, or a different pin count cannot use these modules.
