The PNY CS2241 is a 2TB internal solid-state drive built for consumer desktops and laptops. It uses 3D NAND flash and connects through an M.2 2280 slot using the PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface with NVMe 2.0 protocol. Sequential reads reach up to 5000 MBps and writes up to 4200 MBps.
Verify that your motherboard or laptop has an M.2 2280 slot wired for PCI-Express 4.0 x4 to obtain the rated speeds. A slot limited to PCIe 3.0 will still work but will cap throughput at the older generation’s ceiling.
