CFexpress Type B reader for mobile workflows
The Sabrent CR-CFER reads CFexpress Type B cards through a USB 3.2 10Gbps interface. It connects via USB-C and includes both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables. The aluminium and ABS enclosure is bus powered and requires no drivers on Windows, macOS, Linux or OTG Android devices.
Sustained transfer at USB 3.2 limits
The reader moves data at up to 950 MB/s from the card, bounded by the 10Gbps USB link rather than the media itself. Backward compatibility with USB 3.1 and USB 3.0 means the connection negotiates down to 3.1 or 3.0 speeds when plugged into older ports. Thunderbolt hosts operate at the same USB speed ceiling.
Replaces slower single-slot readers
Photographers and videographers moving from legacy CompactFlash or USB 3.0 card readers gain a direct 10Gbps path without external power. The jump is worthwhile when offloading high-bitrate footage in the field. It does not serve users who need simultaneous multi-card ingest or internal PCIe card slots.

Spørsmål om denne varen
Does the aluminium case get hot when the reader runs at 10 Gbps all day?
The ultra-slim aluminium case acts as a passive heatsink; with no fan or external power the surface stays warm but within safe limits during sustained 950 MB/s transfers.
What cables must I already own to connect this reader to a laptop that only has USB-A ports?
The box includes a USB-C-to-USB-A cable, so no extra cable is needed for USB-A hosts.
Will the reader slow down if I plug it into a Thunderbolt 3 dock instead of a native USB-C port?
Thunderbolt 3 works at USB 3.2 10 Gbps speed limits, so CFexpress Type-B cards still reach 950 MB/s through the dock.
