The Solidigm D5-P5316 is a 15.36TB enterprise SSD built in the E1.L 9.5mm form factor. It targets data-centre operators who need high-density read-intensive storage in a compact server chassis. The drive uses 144L QLC 3D NAND and a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface. It is not suited for workloads that demand sustained heavy write endurance or low-latency random write performance.
Sequential reads reach up to 7000 MBps while sequential writes peak at 3200 MBps. Random read performance is rated at 800000 IOPS with 4K blocks. Random write throughput is 399 MB/s measured with 64K blocks. Endurance is specified as 10.78PBW for 64K random writes and 51.85PBW for 64K sequential writes, giving ample headroom for read-heavy datasets but limited margin for write-intensive applications.
