High-Availability Pair Secondary Unit

The SonicWall TZ570 HA appliance is a desktop firewall intended to serve as the standby member in an active/standby pair. It delivers stateful synchronization so that sessions persist during failover. Small to mid-sized organisations and SD-Branch sites gain validated security services without a second independent management plane. Buyers who need a standalone gateway or a primary unit with full licensing should select the standard TZ570 model instead.

Sustained Session Capacity

The platform maintains up to 1,250,000 simultaneous sessions and supports 2500 concurrent users under continuous load. Deep packet inspection services including gateway anti-virus, anti-spyware, intrusion prevention and DPI SSL operate alongside content filtering and application control without degrading throughput. Site-to-site VPN capacity reaches 200 tunnels while IPsec and SSL VPN client limits remain enforced. Networks requiring higher session counts or more VPN tunnels will exceed this unit’s rated limits.

Desktop Deployment and Licensing

The desktop form factor uses a 100-240 VAC supply drawing a maximum of 13.4 W and provides eight 1 GbE ports, two 5 GbE SFP+ ports, two USB 3.0 ports and a console interface. Zero-touch deployment and single-pane-of-glass cloud management simplify initial setup. High-availability licensing must be paired with a primary TZ570; the secondary unit cannot operate independently or manage its own security subscriptions. Environments lacking a compatible primary appliance cannot activate the HA features.
