Four-port Gigabit PoE card

The Sony Mobile LBGE0811S1 adds four independent Gigabit Ethernet ports with Power over Ethernet through a single PCI Express slot. It uses the Intel I350-T4 controller and supports the IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standard with up to 30 W per port. The card includes both full-height and low-profile brackets for different chassis types.

Suited for PoE deployments

This card fits servers or desktops that need to power cameras, access points or VoIP phones over the network cable. It also supports Wake-on-LAN, VLAN tagging, PXE boot and Energy Efficient Ethernet. Builders without a 12 V mini-fit 6-pin power connector cannot use the PoE function, and workloads requiring faster than Gigabit links will need a different adapter.

30 W per port PoE+ budget

The decisive specification is the 30 W maximum power output on each of the four ports under the 802.3at standard. If connected devices need more power per port, or if the system cannot supply the required 12 V auxiliary connector, this card will not meet the requirement.
