Dell 2 TB 3.5" SAS Hard Drive

This new Dell 2 TB internal hard drive spins at 7 200 RPM and connects through a 3.5" SAS 6 Gb/s interface. It uses a 128 MB cache with 512n formatting and ships with an R-series caddy for direct installation in compatible Dell bays. The mechanism includes Drive Self Test, Background Media Scan and Perpendicular Magnetic Recording.

This drive fits systems built for 3.5" SAS 6 Gb/s bays and the supplied R-series tray. Builders whose chassis or controller only support other physical interfaces or form factors will need a different drive.
