This new Dell 2 TB internal hard drive spins at 7 200 RPM and connects through a 3.5" SAS 6 Gb/s interface. It uses a 128 MB cache with 512n formatting and ships with an R-series caddy for direct installation in compatible Dell bays. The mechanism includes Drive Self Test, Background Media Scan and Perpendicular Magnetic Recording.
