The APC SMT2200RM2UC is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply rated at 2200 VA and 1980 W. It fits a standard 19-inch rack in a 2U form factor and operates from a 120 V supply. The unit is designed for network closets and small data centres that need battery backup with automatic voltage regulation.

Eight outlets and replaceable battery

Six NEMA 5-15R and two NEMA 5-20R receptacles provide battery-backed power for multiple devices. The input connects via a NEMA 5-20P plug. A user-replaceable RBC43 cartridge simplifies service without shutting down the load. An LCD panel shows operating mode, load, runtime and battery capacity at a glance.

Transfer time and input window constraints

The UPS switches to battery in 10 ms, which suits most modern power supplies but may challenge highly sensitive equipment. Input voltage is accepted between 82 V and 144 V, and frequency between 47 Hz and 53 Hz. Surge protection is rated at 530 joules. Approvals include UL 1778 and CSA.
