A 12-inch black sleeved cable splits one 3-pin header into two fan connectors for extra cooling
This EN-Labs cable splits one motherboard 3-pin header into two 3-pin connectors so you can run a pair of case fans from a single fan header. It supports both 12 V and 5 V fans and accepts 4-pin PWM fans, though the PWM speed-control function is not passed through. The 12-inch length gives enough reach for typical chassis layouts without excess slack. Builders who need more than two fans on one header will need a different solution.
The cable uses 26 AWG copper conductors wrapped in a black net-jacket sleeve that resists abrasion and keeps the wiring tidy behind the motherboard tray. A single 3-pin TX3 female connector plugs into the board or a PSU adapter, while two 3-pin TX3 male ends attach to the fans. The sleeve adds a clean look and helps prevent snagging on sharp case edges during assembly.
The package contains only the splitter cable itself; there are no mounting clips, Velcro ties or configuration utilities supplied. Installation is purely plug-and-play, so no driver or firmware steps are required. Users who want cable-management hardware will need to source it separately.

| Features | This TX3 Fan Power Splitter Cable lets you connect two 3-pin (TX3) fans to a single power supply connector, allowing you to optimize your cooling capability without having to upgrade the power supply. Use this 1 x 3-pin motherboard header to power 2 x cooling fans with 3-pin connector 6-inch long, female end 3-pin header plugs on to motherboard (or 3-pin male connector from power supply), 2 x 3-pin male headers to cooling fans Providing a flexible way to position computer case fans as needed, the TX3 Fan Power Splitter cable offers a connection length of 6 inches, eliminating the nee |
The cable is described as a PWM fan power cable, but the note states it works with 4-pin PWM fans with no PWM function, so the 3-pin TX3 connectors pass power only and do not carry a PWM signal.
The splitter uses 22AWG copper conductors wrapped in a black net-jacket sleeve and is 12 inches long, so allow enough space for the sleeve diameter and the full cable length when routing between the motherboard header and the two fans.
Plug the one 3-pin TX3 female connector onto the motherboard fan header or a 3-pin male lead from the power supply, then connect each 3-pin TX3 male connector to a fan; the step often missed is ensuring the female end is fully seated on the header before powering on.
