The MPG X870E EDGE TI WIFI is an ATX motherboard built on the AMD X870E chipset with an AM5 socket. It supports AMD Ryzen 9000 8000 and 7000 series desktop processors. A 14 Duet Rail Power System with 80A Smart Power Stages delivers stable current for demanding workloads. Four DDR5 slots accept up to 256GB of memory.

Step up from X870E

Moving from an X870E board is worthwhile when you need PCIe 5.0 x16 for graphics and two CPU sourced M.2 slots that both reach PCIe 5.0 x4 speeds. The 5G LAN and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity also exceed the typical X870E feature set. The 14 phase power design adds headroom for sustained heavy loads.

256GB DDR5 and Gen5 storage headroom

Dual channel DDR5 runs at JEDEC 5600 4800 MT/s and can be pushed to 8400+ MT/s with Ryzen 9000 processors using one DIMM per channel. Two CPU linked M.2 sockets handle 22110 and 2280 drives at PCIe 5.0 x4 while two chipset linked sockets add PCIe 4.0 capacity. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports remain for bulk storage.
