The PNY CS2130 is a 2TB internal SSD in M.2 2280 form factor that uses a PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interface with NVMe 1.3 protocol. It is built with 3D NAND and targets users upgrading from a SATA based solid state drive in an NVMe enabled PC or Mac computer. The drive delivers sequential read speeds up to 3500 MBps and write speeds up to 3000 MBps for faster boot up and quicker application launch.

Sustained load behaviour within thermal limits

Rated for an operating range of 0°C to +70°C, the drive maintains its low power consumption and quiet operation during extended workloads. The 3D NAND memory components provide enhanced reliability rated up to 30 times more robust than HDDs, while the MTBF of 2000000 hours supports consistent performance without a heatsink under typical consumer sustained write patterns.

Upgrade path from SATA SSD to NVMe Gen3 x4

This model replaces a SATA based solid state drive when the host system has an M.2 slot wired for PCI-Express 3.0 x4 NVMe operation. The jump is worth it when the platform can use the NVMe protocol to achieve up to 6 times the performance of SATA SSDs, delivering super-fast OS boot times and application loads for demanding applications and high-end games.
