What this duplicator does

The Acumen Disc AD07-MMBD is a standalone multimedia duplicator that copies flash media or an optical source disc to up to seven blank discs. It accepts USB flash drives, CompactFlash, Secure Digital and Memory Stick cards without needing a host computer. The unit targets users who need secure, software-free batch duplication of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

Write speeds that define the job

Blu-ray recordable media write at 16X while dual-layer BD-R reaches 8X. DVD+R and DVD-R both record at 24X and DVD rewritable formats at 8X. CD-R tops out at 52X and the controller moves data at 33MB/s. These rates set the maximum throughput for any duplication run on this machine.

Slots, bays and what stays separate

One internal reader provides the optical source and seven writers handle the targets. Four front-panel card slots plus a USB port feed flash media directly to the writers. The duplicator cannot copy from disc back to flash media, so a separate crossover unit is required for that direction. A 20 by 2 character LCD and multilingual menus guide the standalone operation.
