Alphacool Aurora XP3 Light Water Block

The Alphacool Aurora XP3 Light is a CPU water block built for custom liquid-cooling loops. It fits Intel sockets from 775 through 2066 and AMD platforms from AM2 to AM4. The nickel-plated copper cold plate transfers heat into the flow path while a Plexi top panel houses addressable RGB LEDs driven by a 3-pin 5 V connector. The unit weighs 136 g and measures 73 x 63 x 21 mm.

Loop Integration and Clearance

Two G1/4 inch ports accept standard hard-tube or soft-tube fittings so the block slides into existing loops without adapters. The low 21 mm profile leaves room for tall memory modules or large VRM heatsinks around the socket keep-out zone. Digital RGB lighting syncs through a motherboard 5 V header or an external controller, letting the block match the rest of the build’s light scheme without extra cabling.

Upgrade Path From Older Blocks

Builders replacing an earlier NexXxoS XP3 or a basic acrylic-top block gain a thinner profile, improved internal flow architecture and integrated ARGB illumination in one step. The jump is worthwhile when the current block limits tubing options, lacks addressable lighting or runs hotter than the 60 °C rated maximum under load. It does not suit systems that require a monoblock for VRM cooling or builds locked to a single-colour LED ecosystem.
