This combo pairs the ROG Crosshair X870E Glacial motherboard with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor on the AM5 socket. The board delivers dual-channel DDR5 memory across four 288-pin slots, supporting up to 256 GB of capacity. ECC and un-buffered modules are both accepted. The platform targets builders who want integrated AI-ready features such as AI Cache Boost, AI Advisor, AI Overclocking, AI Cooling II and AI Networking II in a single validated package.

Sustained-load behaviour

The power delivery uses 24 plus 2 plus 2 stages rated at 110 A each, fed by ProCool II connectors and cooled by massive heatsinks linked with two L-shaped heatpipes and high-conductivity thermal pads. A 3D vapour-chamber heatsink covers one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot while additional M.2 slots on the ROG Hyper M.2 card and ROG Q-DIMM.2 module receive substantial cooling. ROG Memory Q-Fan provides active airflow over the memory area during extended workloads.
