This combo pairs the ASUS TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor. The board uses the AM5 socket and supports Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series CPUs. Four DDR5 slots accept up to 192 GB in dual-channel mode. The ATX form factor measures 12.0 by 9.6 inches and is ready for Windows 11 22H2 and later.
An enlarged VRM heatsink covers the 14+2+1 80A power stages on an eight-layer PCB with ProCool connectors. Multiple M.2 heatsinks and a PCH heatsink add surface area. Intelligent fan control watches several temperature sources to keep the system stable under load.
The Ryzen 9 9950X delivers 16 cores and 32 threads on the Zen 5 architecture. Maximum boost reaches 5.7 GHz and the multiplier is unlocked for overclocking. A 64 MB L3 cache feeds the execution units.
