This AUBEAMTO L06B2IN1 cable connects any standard 2.5 inch SATA SSD or HDD to a USB 3.0 or USB-C port. It lets you add storage, create disk images, transfer files or repurpose an old laptop drive as external memory. The adapter is designed only for 2.5 inch drives and does not support 3.5 inch HDDs or optical drives.

Compact 20 cm Cable with Dual Connectors

The short blue cable measures 20 centimetres and carries both a USB 3.0 Type-A and a USB-C plug on the host side. A SATA data and power connector mates directly with the drive, so no separate power brick is needed for typical 2.5 inch units. The moulded strain relief and lightweight build suit frequent plugging and travel use.

Upgrade from USB 2.0 Drive Docks

The adapter reaches 6 Gbps with UASP on a supporting host, about 70 percent faster than conventional USB 3.0 and well ahead of USB 2.0 docks. The jump is worth it when you move large disk images or back up terabytes of data regularly. It adds no benefit for occasional small-file transfers on older USB 2.0 only ports.
