Kit composition

This Camius R series kit bundles an eight-channel network video recorder with a pre-installed 4TB hard drive, four dome turret cameras and four bullet cameras. Each camera captures 5MP resolution at up to 30 frames per second and includes a built-in microphone for audio recording. The NVR accepts up to eight PoE IP cameras and can expand storage to 10TB.

PoE and software

The recorder’s built-in PoE switch supplies power and data over a single network cable, so cameras are auto-detected and recording begins without manual IP configuration. Recording modes include continuous, scheduled, motion, sound detection and pre-event buffering. Footage is compressed using H.264, H.265 and their plus variants, while audio uses G.711. Access is available through Windows and Mac software, web browser and the Camius View mobile app.

Build and connections

All eight cameras feature metal housings rated for outdoor use and provide 100ft night vision with colour imaging in low light. The dome units use a 2.8mm lens delivering a 110-degree horizontal field of view. The NVR offers one HDMI output at 4K, one VGA output at 1080p, two USB 2.0 ports for backup and a gigabit Ethernet uplink. ONVIF support allows integration with compatible third-party devices.
