Server Memory Kit

This 12 GB kit contains three 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz ECC Registered DIMMs built for the HP ProLiant DL160 G6. The 240 pin modules run at 1.5 V with CL9 timing and a 2Rx4 organisation. It is designed for servers that require registered memory with error correction.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The modules automatically clock down to 1066 MHz or 800 MHz depending on the installed Xeon processor and population count. Quad Rank DIMMs in the first triple channel bank operate at 1066 MHz; adding them to the second bank drops speed to 800 MHz while the third bank must stay empty.

DDR3 Platform Limits

The platform supports up to 48 GB using twelve 4 GB UDIMMs or up to 384 GB with eighteen 32 GB Quad Rank RDIMMs. Registered and Unbuffered ECC types are supported but must not be mixed. Unbuffered ECC is limited to two triple channel banks per processor on Xeon 55xx series systems.
