The Dell PowerEdge R440 is a 1U rackmount server built for dense data-center deployments. It runs two Intel Xeon Gold 6130 processors at 2.1 GHz with 3.7 GHz Turbo across 16 cores each. The system includes 16 GB of DDR4-2666 ECC registered memory and eight 600 GB 10K SAS drives on a PERC HBA330 controller. This configuration targets virtualization, cloud and storage workloads that demand high core counts in minimal rack space.

Dual 550 W platinum supplies and front airflow

Two 550 W platinum-efficiency power supplies provide redundancy and lower operating cost under load. The 1U chassis uses front-to-rear airflow tuned for standard rack aisles, keeping the Xeon Gold 6130 CPUs and 10K SAS drives within thermal limits during sustained compute tasks. Fan speeds scale with inlet temperature, so acoustic output rises only when the workload demands maximum cooling capacity.

Eight hot-plug bays and iDRAC 9 Express

The front panel holds eight 2.5-inch hot-plug drive bays connected to the 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA HBA330, allowing drive swaps without downtime. iDRAC 9 Express gives remote power control, hardware inventory and console redirection over a dedicated management port. Dual 1 GbE ports handle production traffic, while internal PCIe slots remain open for additional NICs or storage adapters. Front bezel and ready rails are not included.
