The Dell PowerEdge R730xd is a 2U rack server built for midsize and large enterprise workloads such as data warehousing, e-commerce, virtual desktop infrastructure, databases and high-performance computing. It ships with dual Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 processors running at 2.4 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency, each providing six cores for parallel processing. The system includes 256 GB of DDR4 2133 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 32 GB modules, leaving sixteen of the twenty-four slots available for future expansion up to a 1.5 TB maximum capacity.
